St. Marks 4-3 & 4-4

Post by lordsfisher »

I went out Friday for a half a day with a pastor friend. The goal was to put some fish in his freezer so I was glad we had non-stop action. There was thick morning fog, but otherwise a perfect day on the water just south of the lighthouse.
3 Trout
20 Spanish
1 Flounder
Many other undersize or "released" (wink) at the boat. 1 Cobia (undersized)

Saturday: I took my daughter out today in the morning. We ended up fishing 2 hours. The water was rough so we moved close to shore. And I couldn't get the motor started so I was focused on repairing and getting in as soon as possible. I was happy to diagnose the problem, rig a fix, and get to the ramp under my own power.
1 Trout caught in 2' of water.

  Glad you both made it back OK. I've been out with a broken motor and it's not fun. And you caught enough fish to eat, that's not bad.
