What a crap weekend!

Post by procraftwes »

What are you guys doing/did you do this rainy weekend?

I bought a boat this week and its killing me not to get some helm time.

I might drive all the way down to st marks to "work" on the boat. AKA poke around the boat in the storage shed and sip a beer or 2.

We did get to play this game yesterday with some friends. throw a frisbee at the pole/bottle, if you hit it the other team tries to catch the bottle before it hits the ground, 3 points for hitting the pole,4 points for hitting the bottle, 1 point per missed frisbee catch, and you have to hold a beer the whole time. It's a blast.

That looks like a great game! You never know, it could be the next olympic sport.

A couple of guys want me to take them out from the lighthouse tomorrow morning. I'm trying to make up my mind because fishing in the wind, much less rain is not so much fun.

SOUTH WINDS AROUND 15 KNOTS. SEAS 2 TO 3 FEET. DOMINANT PERIOD 5 SECONDS. PROTECTED WATERS A MODERATE CHOP. A CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS.

Forecast called for HEAVY THUNDERSTORMS!!!! Doom style. I don't know about you guys but other than some light rain I didn't see it.

Wrapping up this one with some gelcoat work on one of my hatches, some beer and a steak dinner.

Yes it's hard to make a call about the weather this time of year. I'm planning to take two pastors fishing tomorrow and give them the catch. So my hope is that they will be successful and the wind will stay down in the morning.
