Delacroix, La 2015

Post by dombern34 »

got back from my trip this past Sunday from Delacroix, LA. I've been taking this trip for the past 4 years and hope to make it over there every year I can. if you haven't been, I highly recommend making the trip. do you not need a guide and if you go with a small group 6-8 people, its very affordable. roughly about 800 bucks with EVERYTHING.

of course we caught a ton of fish and I just wanted to share a few pictures from the trip. the trip was from Tuesday night- Sunday Morning. we did catch the bad weather but it didn't really get in the way. it either hit around lunch when we came back in or in the late afternoon after we got back in from our afternoon trip.

can't wait until next year!

yes sir, no guide. we've never used a guide. if you see something that looks fishy, just fish it. the locals consider the redfish to be a "trash" fish. they are more than happy to tell you where the fish are. go have fun. we left them biting!

Nice, you could actually have a fish fry and invite some friends over! What is the limit of Redfish over there?

No place like South Louisiana for marsh reds. I've gone every year for the last 15; my favorite area is Golden Meadow, but there are any number of places across the south part of the state just as good. The "People's Republic of Louisiana" is proud of those out of state license fees, though!

Yeah, I gulp real hard when I buy that $100 piece of paper every year and never have been checked over there. For,that matter, only seen a LA FWC Leo once on the water in many years. It's real outlaw land, if you want to be.
