St Marks Pinfish?

Heading out for a day of fishing tomorrow out of St Marks. We're going to need some pinfish to feed the Cobia. Anyone know the best spots for pinfish this time of year?

Grassy areas in 3-5 feet of water. Or anywhere I am using soft plastics that the tails can easily be bitten off.

After using shrimp, squid, gulp, bacon and just about everything else, Ive discovered a great pen fish bait. Fried (or microwaved) hot dogs. Cut into tiny pieces and cooked till hard. The freaking pen fish go nuts! I always cut the top hooks off my Sabiki (leaving the bottom three hooks) and loaded the live well yesterday in about 20 minutes. I know it sounds a little goofy but give it a try. You won't be disappointed.

Don't doubt it a bit. Took a few very young cousins out for an Econ river cruise years ago and to prevent the temptation of resorting to hardcore fishing at the kids' expense didn't take any fishing gear. Water was as clear as the Econ area gets. Knew I could show them pinfish if I could find way to draw them to the boat's edge. Dug through our snacks and found beef jerky. They were as drawn to it as anything I've ever thrown to them. Kind of expensive pinfish bait though! Definitely give the cooked hot dogs a try.
