Memorial Day Weekend

Post by fishfalcon »

We went down this weekend and found plenty of wind and waves, but the fishing was tough. Tried east and west in water 2-7 feet deep. Threw everything from live baits to gulp at them for 2 days with only 2 rat reds and 2 shorts to show for it. Caught a ray and some sailcats from shore. Sunday afternoon, my son finally caught 2 keeper trout and my bride caught a beautiful redfish which was enough for all of us to have a fresh grilled fish dinner. Good times. Monday we didn't even try. Image Image

That's the way it has been this spring. Tough, tough fishing.
