I always clean while on the boat. No bugs and usually a nice breeze. But I'm always looking for ways to make it easier. I always use a piece of 2"x10" across the bucket as a work table and a place to crack stubborn scallops(put scallop hinge side up against the board and whack solidly with a spoon. This collapses the front of the shell allowing you to get a sharpened spoon In to cut the meat to get the top shell off). But everyone's hands are constantly in others way when trying to get the shells and guts in the bucket. So I came up with this. . . Plenty of workspace and room for a bowl of ice for the meat. And the blocks underneath won't let it slip off the bucket.
