Got to the ramp at 6:15 still a little dark we took it easy going out
Try for some red's but they did not want any thing to do with what we were throwing
So we move out to out first and only spot and made 3 drifts and had our limit by 9:45
With 2 sharks to boot and a few shorts 1 black sea bass was fishing in 5 to 6'
Using gulp of different colors from glow to new penny ,
My grandson put it on me today ,we went out to 10' and 12' trying to catch
Some more sea bass all short we did catch some pink mouth back to ramp at 12:00
Before Storm hit ,I talked to SS-342 this morning on the radio good to hear from you
Hope y'all found some fish
today's catch 7/9/15

I recognized the call name as being a member of the fishing forum. Is that you or your grandson in the picture? Ya'll did real good.
My favorite places north of Keaton didn't give up many fish for us today. We got five good one, lots of shorts, several cat fish, a Lady Fish and a 32 inch Cobia. It was busting minnows and wanted my Cotton Cordell Red Fin. Struck and missed but got it right at the boat. We didn't have a tag so gave it a good kiss and released. That is a pulling fish!
Keep posting those good reports and pictures. I enjoy them especially when we can't go fishing but a good fish tale is always good.

Several year ago my two sons and myself found schools of all kinds of fish busting minnows in the area you were fishing. We caught gag grouper, sharks and about everything. Got all our fishing rigs broken off but had fun
