Flounder gigging

Post by saltwater1 »

This will be my first time in Apalachicola area. Do you all gig for flounder down here. I hadn't gigged before but have a gig and it would give me something to do at night. Also are there any lights, docks to fish for specks at night?
Finally can live shrimp be found in the area for bait.
Thanks

Haven't personally done it but my Aunt has a house on the bay at St. George and I see people doing it all the time. From the bridge towards the west is a long line of docks and little sloughs that hold a lot of fish. Google map that area and you see them.

Yes to everything except shrimp. They are a little scarce this time of year. Can be hard to come by.
