Got to the ramp at 6:20 this morning it was a good looking start to the day
Stopped at the mouth of the river to look for red's there was nothing there
No bait fish movie, so I headed to the east started fishing no bit's had to move around
a few places it the same area started getting bits first trout was a keeper 18"
Then a couple of shorts and catfish ,caught another keeper 16" ,
there was a nice breeze till about 8:30 ,then dead still for 45 minutes
And the fish stopped ,as the breeze started again the fish started hitting
Picked up one more keeper 18" , cauth a few more shorts and a shark
Picked up one more trout 17 ¹/²" when the wind stopped again it got HOT
I had to quit at 11:00 , and go to the hill and let the dog out
Total was 4 trout
Did not take a picture before I cleaned them so you get a after

today's catch 7/17/15
One thing about the speed of light it gets here too early in the morning
Re: today's catch 7/17/15
I fished off Mash Sands and the story was the same. No wind- no fish but minnows everywhere. Then the water started to boil so I moved closer and there they were. Schools of bull reds slashing minnows. Could not get one to bite but it was very exciting to watch.

Blue Spinner you did good.
We didn't get to go this week. Need to cut hay but watching it rain ever afternoon. It is hard making hay in the rain! It was supposed to be windy on the coast so we found other things to do which wasn't hard to do. Hopefully we'll be back on the flats very soon. We're needing a salt fix
Be on watch for Cobia busting minnows in the area you are fishing. Our last trip we caught one almost 33 inches on a gold Cotton Cordel Red Fin plug.
Thanks for the good report!
