Panama City Beach 10/01/04

Post by Chalk »

Too tired to formally post...Just a little something to wet your appetite.....

My new employer CSS Panama City charters The Treasure Island once every three months for a little fishing trip. Capt Dave and Leo
(He said be sure to mention his name in the post  ) provided us with a pretty good trip. I think everyone had a good time and everyone caught fish....

I had several nice snapper come off half way up. I think I was the short snapper king, probably released 15-20 short reds. Maybe that's why I'm so sore this morning

I seemed to fair better with a short 12 inch floro leader and a 4/0 livebait hook. I got cut off once and in a pinch I grabbed a circle hook rig :hammer: ...If you know me, me and circles don't get it..One day maybe

I did well with cut up pinfish and sardines...We had live pinfish, but they didn't seem to do as well....

For $40....It wasn't a bad day, you could of skipped a rock to tampa and back....
My first keeper red snapper, which was one of three and a nice beeliner.

Pete won big fish of the day......

Kens catch, two nice gags.....

Jay and Jamies catch.....

Thanks again to Capt. Dave and Leo

That's a nice mess o' fish.

I have had those small Red Snapper cooked on the grill, head and all, soooo tasty. :lick:

Run by Capt. Anderson's (are they open?????) and get a bottle of their house seasoning to sprinkle on it before you cook. Grill, pour some olive oil over it and squeeze lemon on.
