Roffs just published a clip of a 1,254-pound blue marlin caught last month in Cape Verde, Africa. Owner/angler Gary Ingram hooked the fish on a pitch bait and fought it for 5 hours before it was boated on Big Oh. It is the 9th biggest blue recorded in the Atlantic and the only marlin ever killed aboard the boat after more than 1,000 releases. Capt. Ronnie Fields is the skipper, with Kyle Francis and Nicholas Bovell the mates. The catch was Ingram's first grander.
Here's the link to the video with the final moments of the fight and the crew's efforts to get that big mama aboard:

Huge fish. It was pretty obvious that they had no intention to tag. They were sticking gaffs in the fish from the time it got close to the boat. No bother with me, I believe in Angler's choice.
Its a wonderful day in the neighborhood!
