So glad I decided to value my own time more than the $$. Hope to be back at it soon. In the meantime, Luc has some much needed time off, and I'll be riding with him for a while. Slightly better ride anyway, and not bad company!
Why would you change from a torsion bar to springs? Aren't torsion much better than springs? I may be misunderstanding, but I thought torsion bars were a big upgrade from leaf springs

To the best of my ability to answer, the torsion axels came part and parcel with the sealed bearings, which apparently are much more difficult to find/get. If I went that way right now, I'd be waiting on MagicTilt to get them from the company in Germany. Also more expensive. Everyone agreed conventional hubs are much more servicable.
