I'd probably go with Keaton. Too much rain this summer around Steinhatchee.

Our catch from Saturday, fought dead batteries after we got to our second spot and fished 2 extended drifts, the trout were caught by my buddy Texas rigging new penny shrimp and I caught the pompano on a new penny, chartreuse on jig head. Caught a bunch of short trout and few shark.

pompano was a nice surprise and was caught on my bass tackle which made it more fun, actually thought it was a lesser Amberjack till we did some more research. :D

Which way did you fish, north or south? I have some spots marked in different areas, but haven't fished there yet this year.

Started just north of Dekle in about 5' then moved to about 3' towards shore then had battery problems and fished the drift from there to almost Keaton channel, had couple keepers there but water had some stain to it. jumped the battery and moved about 1/4 mile south of the channel to clearer water and started in about 3' again and drifted about 2 hours and got few more keepers and the Pompano there. couldn't tell you depths where we caught them as i had all electronics off.
