I am looking towards purchasing a solt cooler bag for when I go pier and surf fishing.
I need it with a shoulder strap so I can carry it on my shoulder and it needs to carry at least two 27 in Red drum and maybe some cold drinks. Do not want a hard cooler to drag thru the sand.
What would you recommend?

This is the one I went with, I've been happy with it. http://www.norchillcoolers.com/

Maybe a little overkill for your needs but a fish "kill" bag may be more durable than a cooler over time. Essentially the same type of insulation i.e. closed cell foam but the strap attachments should hold up better. The straps on my Reliable fish bag are heavier than anything I've ever seen on a cooler as they are designed to pick the full bag up, tie it off to the transom etc. but of course it comes at a higher price.

zload's suggestion jogged my memory about the bag I had made for my kayak. I went on to 2.0 for the yak, but something along these lines would work and it would be cheaper than the larger fish bags.

For under $10 get a costco zipper freezer bag. It will last for a year. Throw away, repeat.
