EZ Pump help!

Post by CoastalPirate »

Hey Hey, I took the boat out to Lake Seminole this past weekend and man was I welcomed by atleast 50 stumps! Sad to say but as I trailered the boat I discovered that a stump tore the EZ pump out of the fiberglass. Can someone give me some advice as to how to fix this? Image

I am not sure exactly what I'm looking at here, but my guess would be remove the pump or whatever that is in the picture. Patch the hole with Marine-Tex. Drill another hole for the screw in a different location if possible. Re-assemble and seal with 5200.

That's on the outside of the transom right?
5200 should do it. But be sure its sealed well - you don't want water to get under the gel coat!
