Boats for Sale

Post by MudDucker »

Pics and details to follow, but I am selling two members of my armada.

The first one is a Dixon Twister Airboat. Paul Dixon says this is his "stupid proof" airboat. It is virtually impossible to create a backwash wake that will slosh over the back of the boat when you slow down. That is the #1 cause of swampings of airboats. This boat uses a 35hp Vanguard engine just like mudbuddy, however this one has been modified. It has the Mountain heads, heavy duty crankshaft, mild cam and mikuni carb, so it is pumping closer to 50hp. It has two seats and plenty of room. Runs over 25 mph with two guys and gear. The only thing this boat want do that the bigger airboats will do is run dry. It needs a smidgen of water to run. Comes with a very heavy duty aluminum trailer. I just put a new carb on it. Price $9000. I wasn't going to sell this one, but I am getting a place on the coast and I decided to keep my proline instead.

Next, a 14' 4" Miccosukee Widgeon. This boat has a flyway blind on it. Probably about time for a fabric change on the flyway. It was used when I had it mounted on this boat. Here is the website about the boat http://www.thewigeonduckboat.com/#!about Tough little boat that I've had about 2 years. Used it as PCS WMA, but that place has changed and this boat is no longer the ideal baot for that place. This boat without the blind is over $2k new. Why so much, hand layed fiberglass and toughness. The price on this one with the blind is $1400 or $1200 without the blind. No trailer with this one. See the story here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QAbMqMaftFk This boat is made to jump stumps and logs and works great with a small surface drive like a cooperhead.

Only selling because I just got myself a new Prodigy and I've got too much stuff to keep up. Season is coming guys! I will not be available to show or get pictures until after 11/14.
Its a wonderful day in the neighborhood!

Love that, especially after staring at an Awlgrip chart for hours trying to decide on colors for the new skiff.

Go ahead Barry. You need another addition for your puny fleet.
