SHOUT OUT to Take A Kid Fishing Participants
These folks gave up their time and resources again this year to take a child out for a much needed day of fishing and fun. 15 boats, their captains, family and friends took 24 kids from Fla Baptist Childrens Home on Saturday . We could not have asked for a better day, a little overcast, slight breeze and the fishing was great. The cooler of fish these kids took home was FULL of trout, reds,Spanish mackerel and a few nice black bass.BTW ,I think there were more reds than trout ! Most every boat caught a shark or 2 which made that captain as popular as any rock star. After the fishing, everyone headed back to the pavillon at the Fort in StMarks for a nice lunch and refreshments.

Re: SHOUT OUT to Take A Kid Fishing Participants
Aye Aye Sir, what a wonderful blessing it was! Thanks to all who made it possible and praise be to Him above!
We had a wonderful time meeting old friends and making new ones. The child we had and the chaperone student on our boat made it more than worth the cost and effort to participate. What a blessing!
A special thanks to Don, his wife, and the Baptist Children's home for providing the opportunity. Thanks to Christopher/BassPro for helping in the selection of new reels and rods for the new fisherwomen on our boat. Chris they worked wonderfully and the girls had a ball! Each and every year we have had very nice children but we think they are progressively getting better and better. What a joy it is to meet such wonderful children.
To Him be all the praise and glory!

Archie,I can't thank you and your wife Patsy enough for helping make this possible . I know you have had a lot out of pocket expenses over the years ,travel, hotel rooms, and restaurants cost, now you purchased special rods and reels for your guest.
You 2 are truly a blessing making this special event possible
Thank you SS-342

Just to see those smiling faces is enough. Those kids sure enjoy fishing! Appreciate the opportunity to help.

Your welcome sir, next year we will be more involved just let me know a couple of months in advance, and on a personal note my wife and I would love to take out some of the kids it just so happened that it fell on the weekend of our last NFGFC tournament or we would have been there.
Re: SHOUT OUT to Take A Kid Fishing Participants
My boat was packed. I had three of the college students and three girls from the childrens home along with my daughter. It was a good thing my wife and other daughters had other plans. Fishing was a challenge but we managed to keep six lines in the water with no tangles and we caught some fish even though the girls were giggling the whole time. Sharks certainly increased the excitement for all on board and provided for some great pics. All had a blast and, as every year, I enjoyed the opportunity.

Tkj,sorry to have put so many youngsters on back porch but from sounds coming from your boat, everyone was having a great time. I don't know who's boat was noisier yours or mine with 3 girls, just know there was a lot of hooping and hollaring from both. Apology to everyone , But this event was put together in less than 2 months and almost cancelled till next year .
Now I'm glad we we did not cancell.
BPS ,I will try next year to give you and everyone else a more time to plan on TAKF 2016.
Pa, would be great if you could join us again in 2016.
Again, thanks everyone
