St Marks 11/24/15

Post by woodstock52 »

I finally picked up some keeper Trout. Fished near the lighthouse during the incoming tide, and found 4 nice fish between 18 1/2" to 22". Let the 22" go to fight another day, & enjoyed some fresh fish for supper, plus some for my mother-in-law. It had been a long dry spell for me, as far as finding any keeper fish. I had been catching only short fish on the few trips I did go on. All were caught on a Gulp shrimp while jigging. Less then 2 hours on the water.

Sure am glad to hear that. Ive bought nothing but shorts all year long. Maybe the cooler weather is bringing the bigger fish in? Who knows. Just glad to hear that bigger fish are being caught. Look forward to hearing somebody report on trout up the St. Marks river!
