Keaton Beach 12/13
Started out after low tide around 10:30 and fish til 5:00. Water temp a steady 66 degrees. Bite was most consistent in 3-5 feet in stained water (thanks jzimmer). Three of us ended up with 13 trout and a Spanish Mackerel. All on cork n' gulp, white being best for us. Too many shorts to count. Great time. First trip with my daughter who is 9, she worked hard to catch her fish, wouldn't let Daddy cast for her, wanted to learn to do it herself, and she was doing better and better. She's also good with the net. She can't wait until next trip.

You had a good day plus the fun of watching your daughter get "hooked". Thanks for the good report.

Also forgot to mention: the weather forecast was extremely wrong, prior to leaving it said 10-15mph all day. When started it was maybe blowing 5-7ish, but by noon it pretty much stopped blowing at all, very calm. So I thought maybe they have changed the forecast, looked it on phone and it said "rest of the day: 15-20mph, and it staid calm until we were back on land. Go figure.

I think JT sends them the forecast info to prevent people from fishing his holes...
