So, where is Mud Cove?

This area is for general discussions about fishing, rigging, baits, etc.

So, where is Mud Cove?

I appreciate the help but I started this post again because I'm still confused about where the place is. I thought I had it figured out but I don't. Is it somewhere specific or is it just the general area from Light House Point west to where the development stops at Phipps Preserve?

My understanding is it's somewhere or the area between Lighthouse and Peninsula Point... :smt102

There is no cove. It's a general area of shallow flats.
What was I supposed to do today?

Evidently the question is muddy enough.
From now on I'll just think of it as the gulf side of Alligator point, east of the KOA.

ya know where the cross roads are where that big live oak is where uncle Bob hit that big deer that year? well ya don't turn there. Keep going straight until you see that store that used to sell PBR  in a 40 oz oil can, then you turn left and stop and ax that fellar on the corner and he'll tell you how to get there....... :D

Must be top secret Litt.....???

GC, there's no secret. It's just that it's not a specific place.

As a matter of fact if you do a search or google on the name, you'll find there is more than one area (none very specific) that reference the name "mud cove". They can be found as being somewhere on the West Coast of Florida. One in particular references that Mud Cove is near Pine Island.....which also appears in more than one place on the Coast Line :o This is one of those situations where the location will vary depending on who is giving you the directions and it's based on their individual experiences. :-?
"Good Judgement" comes from experience, ... and a lot of that..... results from "Bad Judgement".
