How many of you fish out of a Jon boat for inshore?

I'm stealing the anecdote about the motor committing battery for my next article on how much safer it is to wadefish in Stoney Bayou.

I personally know the guy who was driving the boat, and the guy who got hacked up, albeit only to the leg. It was a pretty serious situation. Had no way to get back up river, and the boy was bleeding badly. Luckily, another fisherman had launched at a small rarely used launch close to them, and had left truck unlocked with keys in it. They "borrowed" the truck to get him to help. Truck was returned, explanations were made, and all was well. The victim survived, and the offending outboard was sent to prison for aggravated assault.
I do not know the original poster, but if I can vouch absolutely for this part of his story being true, does this mean we are all in the presence of possibly the worlds greatest fisherman?

I HAVE HAD 18 G-3 WHICH WORKED GREAT IN THE RIVERS, IN MOST OF THE BAYS OF OUR AREA AND OFF SHORE IF THE WEATHER IS RIGHT , 16 LOWES BOAT , KINDA BAY BOAT HAD 24 SIDES WITH V BOW, AND I GUESS THE BEST THAT I HAD WAS A STARCRAFT BAY BOAT, COULD USE IT ALMOST ANYWHERE I WANT TO GO IT IS A 18 FT. ALUM. , ALSO ANOTHER GREAT BOAT WAS THE LUND 18 FT. CABIN BAY BOAT, THESE LAST TWO I COULD GO ANYWHERE I WANTED AND NOT GET DROWNED OFF SHORE AND YET DID NOT PULL OVER 2 FT. OF DRAFT IN SHALLOW WATER, AND DRAFT TO ME IS TO THE BOTTOM OF THE KICKER FOOT, THE ACTUAL DEPTH OF THE BOAT IS ONLY ABOUT 5 INCHES. AS IN ANY KIND OF BOAT, YA NEED TO HAVE A LITTLE BIT OF COMMON SENSE, WHICH I AM SORRY TO SAY VERY FEW PEOPLE HAVE TODAY.
