The fish was caught in Puerto Quepos, Costa Rica two years ago. Capt. Michaels also does guided trips for snook in Chokoloskee, but I don't think he's ran across any like that in Choko.

A mutual friend sent me a photo of Capt. Ward Michaels' mount of his All Tackle World Record Pacific Black Snook. Official weight 59 pounds 8 ounces.
