aucilla river

Hey y'all.....hope you're having fun.....I was curious what kind of fishes the aucilla river from Highway 98 to the gulf might have? Shoal bass? Suwannee bass? Bluegills or redbellies?

or is there another stretch of a different river that is good for perch jerkin? Needs canoe access....

Plenty of bass and bream up there. I've seen some nice bass caught up around Nutall Rise. How far down they range depends on the weather and tides and all that affecting salinity. I know for sure there are bass at least as far as south of the boat ramp where all those houses along the river are.

I haven't seen houses south of the boat ramp since they busted up that drug ring back in the 80's.

I must have been smoking crack! I'm thinking of the Econfina with the houses.

But the Aucilla for sure has bream and bass if you put in at Nutall. And the upper Aucilla all the way to 90 is loaded with them but a real PITA to access.
