rod repair

I have a penn offshore spinning rod that needs the end eye replaced. Anyone have someone they use for this? Id like to get it replaced by the end of the week. I know how to do but im pretty sure no one in town carries an end eye big enough (including kevins) unless something has changed.

I was just at acadamy sports and they have some huge rod tips, I'd be surprised if you couldn't find one big enough there

Speaking of rod repair, I got the most expensive rod I've ever owned as a birthday present, with the thought that if anything happened, it could be returned to Kevin's for an immediate replacement (Clarus - lifetime warranty). Much to my surprise, policies have changed, and I had to return it to Shimano after a ladyfish broke off the top 5 inches first time out. Shimano said they were on backorder, and I'd be waiting until mid-June. Yesterday, a replacement arrived, a Teramar, with a note saying Clarus is being discontinued. Seems reasonable, maybe even a little upgrade.

Good deal for you. Teramar are great rods with a composite blank (graphite/glass fusion) so they're both sensitive and durable. Enjoy!

Was at the Redtrout meeting instead. I'm a CCA Life Member and I don't have any wall space left for prints, anyway. Have almost (but never enough) tackle too. And I get paid to go on fishing trips to faraway places.

Sorry for the derail, hookedonred. The Academy selection sounds like it might work. A little epoxy on a new tip and you'll be back in business.

Took it to rivers, had it replaced in literally 5 mins, good call and would definitely recommend him.
