Ain't it supposed to be calm by the middle of June?
Too rough to fish but not too windy to tinker with my jonboat. A couple of days ago I went ahead & painted all upper surfaces with flat white paint. That OD green gets as hot as a skillet in the summer sun. Hopefully this will eliminate that issue. Will paint it back to OD come duck season.
Also making up a harpoon rig for these Pilot whales that have been sighted around St. Marks lately. Think of the meat! I figure if the FWC penalty for harpooning a whale is the same as having one trout that's a quarter inch short (it probably is), may as well go BIG if you're gonna take a chance.
Wait I may be 1/180th Eskimo. Maybe I can get one of those exemptions they get, like where they're allowed to get one whale a year for the tribe. TRADITION. They deny me a permit I'll sue them for bigotry, racism and a hate crime.
What's with all this stinkin' wind?

They'll have to find it first. I have some good hiding spots in my boat.

If they can find a stashed redfish on a boat, they shouldn't have trouble finding a whale! Good luck, captain.
