How do y'all measure your scallop limit? I don't clean them on the boat so I bring them in whole. Normally I use 2 gallon buckets and just fill to top then put in cooler.
Is this a "safe" way to measure your limit? Will fwc frown if there's 3 extra scallops in my catch? Just curious.

That's the way I've always done it.

. Might want to check your bucket. Pour 2 gallons of water from milk jugs in there and see where it comes too. Then mark it. I'll bet it's at least and inch from the top. He won't frown on three. But a quart or two over he will. My 2 gallon bucket is not all the way to the top.Toonfisher wrote:How do y'all measure your scallop limit? I don't clean them on the boat so I bring them in whole.
