Where to surf or Pier fish at night

Post by DEADLYMNM7 »

Hello
I would like some advise on where to surf or pier fish at night in saltwater.
It has been so hot lately that I prefer to fish after 6pm.
I have fished off the old bridge by St. George but I am wondering if there is any place closer to Tallahassee.
Any type of fish besides catfish and stingrays.

The Mashes Sands pier at Panacea might be an option, I just don't know if they allow night fishing there. Might be worth checking out.

I've fished the pier at Mashes Sands at night - it's allowed. Bald Point State park has a small, but productive pier. They close at sundown, but one of the Rangers told me you can buy a night pass at the ranger station. There's not a ranger station at Bald Point, so I assume he was talking about the Ochlockonee River park station. I haven't looked into it further but am interested if anyone has.
