I haven't been there recently but a friend of mine went last weekend with no luck. Although he said the wind was so bad they could hardly fish it.
NOAA reports are the reason I have trust issues.

I've been a couple of times this summer. I usually drive to Bald Point and fish the bars. Almost always catch something. I caught this bad boy a couple weeks ago at low tide on a live crab. I have spent hours chasing the tarpon cruising the beach at AP and have never even got a bite. Would love some advice on that!
I've caught flounder, Spanish,Reds and sheepshead fishing right off the beach.

AP Tarpon can be caught 2 ways.

Live Menhaden under a balloon early in the am or a properly presented fly.

The fly works 10 times better. The properly presented part is a whole new level of difficulty......particularly sitting in a Yak. But it can be and is done.
