Wakulla Beach

Post by youngbearman »

The bite was on this morning at Wakulla Beach. from 5:30 till 8:00. Natural with sparkles Z-man rigged texas with point out (nothing on the bone One-Knocker). Big trout mixed in with the reds on the south side and around the island.

Did you take a jon boat or a kayak? How was the road coming into the beach? I always feel like I'm going to get the Volkswagen stuck on the way out there.

I haven't been out there in a hot minute. Gotta check it out sometime soon. Thanks for the report.

Pro Angler...that things a dream. Zman was a redbone jerk shad. Were taking a client there in the morning and I'm a little worried, that place is either on, or totally dead. Didn't have time to hit a couple spots I wanted to this morn though so we'll see. Might try the CrabZ for the first time, been hearing good things about it. I was just surprised to see so many big trout right in the grass while redfishing.

Somebody had put a shark line out somewhere and it had broken from its mooring. Bull Shark wrapped up on my mirage drive when I was checking it out to see what was pulling this gallon jug around the bay, lots of sea turtles out there. Finally got it off but it was almost a real bad ending to an otherwise good morning. Big shark, very green and not very happy.

Road is not bad, a few little holes when you get close to the landing but you can drive around them, I never have to put it in 4wd even at the landing.
