At St Marks the closer in you got to visibility was worse but doable because of the onshore winds with a good chop. Further off it was clearer. We got our limit in 6-7'. .
We did pretty good. Didn't limit out, but probably could have if we had spent a little more time in the water vs socializing. The scallops are definitely still there. We all left our kids with the grandparents as they are still too young to scallop, so this was more of an adult social getaway. We stayed at the sweet magnolia inn and I highly recommend it if anyone is looking for a nice little retreat.

We got a quart and a cup of meat. Had to move 6 times until we found the spot. We had trouble seeing the bottom in 6 foot water so what we found was in 4 to 5. Water was cloudy not clear. We fished before and after scalloping and while we had some action, did not catch any keepers. I

You didn't quote me but I went yesterday and fished using live pins, live shrimp and artificials.. Tide could have been better but saw more action and the water cleared up.
3-4 short trout, large ladyfish and a catfish.. Once again the wind was significant so I couldn't run to 7-10' where I suspect the larger trout are hanging out.. Well to be specific I did run out there but the 3-5' seas were rolling me around too much to do much fishing.
Water is at least twice if not 3x as clear as late last week which is a good sign.
Made it out Sunday with my 10 yr and one of his buddies. We were out of landing by 7 and decided to try fishing. Really nice ride out, when we got in 8-10 ft the wind and seas picked up pretty good. We managed 1 keeper and 4-5 shorts. We headed in to scallop after 2 hours of rolling around. We managed to pick-up about 3 gallons of scallops. Moved around a good bit, and the water was a little stained. Probably could have gotten more if we stayed with it, but we were headed back in by 12:30. Great day with the boys!
