Keaton Beach Oct. 1

Post by ddb »

Had a good day on the water at Keaton Beach Oct. 1. Fished with long time fishing friends Breambuster and buster Jr. We picked up a limit of sea trout and a limit of redfish. It's surprising how reducing the limit to 1 redfish each has instantly increased our catch rate  Water temps had dropped to 75 from 85 the last time we were there a couple of weeks ago. Water is still quite stained from the storm. We had our best luck in 4.5-6' of water.

I've been fishing with this guy a long time and he still continues to go with us :D

I'm afraid he consistently outfishes the old guys but we make up for it in endurance.

Yes the canal is cleaned out and things are pretty much back to normal. The Taylor county Comminisors and clean up folks they hired have done a outstanding job of getting Taylor county cleaned up and back to normal.
