Put the boat in the water 'bout 8. Worked our way down towards the gulf, stopping at our favorite spots. Didn't catch anything in the river. Went out into the Big water, "a little to the East", "not too far out". Spent the rest of the day in 4 to 6 ft water. The water was pretty clear. About 10:30 we began to see some action. All trout and lots of short stuff. If there is a record for boating 12 to 14 inchers we broke it. Ended up with limits of keepers for both of us.
Mirrolures & Cotton Cordell Red-fin were worthless. White Gulp on a jig head worked great. I ran out of Gulp and started using some Bass Assassin saltwater eels , white w/chartreuse tail, I've had for a couple years. They worked as well as the Gulp.
Left for home about 2pm, cleaned the trout but had a Burrito for dinner.
Life is good!

FSU Marine Lab in St. Teresa recording 66 degrees this morning. Always have to take that with a deer lick of salt, however.
