Gonna run out Monday morning. Guy's, if you are fishing St. Marks this weekend, Id be grateful for an update. Wanna try fishing up the river but just don't know with this warm weather. Anyway, grateful for posts.

I know DixieReb did well upriver but I fished southeast on Thursday and had one of my better days on a a full moon day tide.
Caught a couple smaller reds on the new Storm/Rapala 360GT swim bait (1/8 ounce), plus about 10 trout including several keepers on the flats beyond the large creek I was fishing. The water was cool but certainly not cold. Caught a couple more keeper-sized trout on a DOA gold/glow standard shrimp. Switched over to a Rapala Skitter Walk topwater as the tide flooded in and had an absolute blast. At least 20 trout on top ranging from 17 inches up to three pounds. They were smashing the plug and knocking it out of the water. The biggest hit it three times before finally connecting. Also saw a trio of trout that were much bigger spooking off in the crystal clear water.
This crazy El Nina winter has 'em back on the flats and near the creeks/oyster bars.
Y'all have fun. I'm going to work this weekend to avoid the crowds. That's the beauty of self-employment and setting your own hours.
Side note: Don't know if they've made it to the stores yet, but the new 360GT lures are impressive. Lots of nice features like embedded rattles in the plastic jig head, hook slots in the body and good range of colors. Comes in 1/8, 1/4 and 3/8-ounce sizes. The first time I fished it over the holidays I scored 50 trout, including a limit of keepers, two flounder, two sea bass and a red, all on the same lure although I changed the body after 20 trout ripped it to shreds.
Disclaimer: All game fish described were caught on over-priced and over-rated Shimano reels and expensive G. Loomis and St. Croix rods. Threw both combos in the garbage can afterwards 'cause no maintenance routine could ever possibly revive 'em.

I fished with a Phleuger President series reel on a Shimano med. action spinning rod, Trilene Big Game 15 lb. test line, and Sea Striker green/glitter curlytails. I think I'll keep them!
