Apalach creeks

Post by Rbmcrae »

We were down yesterday fishing creeks and had absolutely zero luck! No fish and motor problems led to an early afternoon at oyster city.

Question is where are the fish right now? Water in river seemed extremely fresh and fish were not in the holes. At least not biting. Any suggestions for where to go as we will be back down in Jon boat tomorrow since xpress is in the boat ER.

It's been rather warm... not enough colder weather

work the bars towards the mouth of the river(s) and surrounding feeder creeks. there are a few up river, but with this warm weather they continue to feed further out
Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn. ~Chuck Clark

Thinking of fishing out behind state park tomorrow. May be bad decision but with warmer temps and moving water figured the flats and oysters around there might be productive

Believe there was a report from behind Dog Island a couple weeks ago. Water temp probably still the same so probably a good choice.
