The two of us headed straight to the O tower for bait, not much there. Water was a little choppy in the am, so we stayed in fairly close looking for snapper. We went through three boxes of dead bait and about 50 shorts to get 4 reds and 1 mangrove. The flat line behind the boat never made it to the rod holder before a king hook up. Only boxed 2 red and one gag grouper. Numerous cut offs from sharks and kings. One 50# jewfish in 90'. Seas laid down nice in the pm. Strong falling tide all day, water temp 76 degrees, good clarity, NO WEED LINES. Timber Island is really going through some construction changes, looks like parking will be at a premium before long.

Sounds like they were biting....just not the bigger ones. You still bagged a good mix of fish for the dinner table   WTG
