Trout on the flats….They're here!

Put the boat in at the lighthouse yesterday morning about 7:30 and eased back to Big Creek and then over to Stoney. A lot of wind. Not much to report there. Just a short red and a BLT (barely legal trout). By about 1:30 decided to make out way out of Stoney and decided to hit the flats just South. Got to about 4-1/2' to 5' of water and threw shrimp under a popping cork. The bite was hot till about 2:30 with several bought in the 16' to 17' range. Glad Springtime is finally here!
