St Marks 10/24...not much
Really had my hopes up that this was going to be THE day that the bite would be on.....got to LH 8:15am Sunday went east past 2nd stake. Light wind, slightly overcast, stained dark water.
To sum it all up - caught lots of shorts (30+) with a rare keeper in between. Fished area past second stake back to lh, then west to stake line, left water around 2 pm. By then it was high tide and windy as heck! Water clairty back towards LH and west was worse than Gray Mare area. Fish only liked DOA under CT's. Had 6 keepers.
Caught what I thought was my largest trout ever (only fish caught on a candy corn SWA). Saw the MAN back at landing - said "hey come look at this - do you have a weigher"? He didn't but acted duly impressed. Stopped at Jerry's and was somewhat disappointed that it only weighed 3lb 1oz but still a nice catch for me. Guess if you're fated to catch only one keeper for the day, as I was, at least it was the biggest!
Wish the water would clear up some.

lighthouse stake locations
The stakes that you mention, are those the stakes locating the entrance to the lighthouse loading dock channel. If not can you give me and idea where they are, just trying to get my bearing
Thanks
Thanks
It's always better than work
That is interesting, the only keeper I got was also on a DOA shrimp. You did really well compared to most of us who fished inshore. Sure would like to see a picture of that big trout you cought.
Here's what I did on friday and sunday...

Time is the most precious commodity we have in life, stay focused.
Been off line a bit
MJ - I wouldn't know how to post a pic even if I had a digital camera to take one with. I don't see one years Christmas pics till i develope the film after the next years Christmas!! I really love it when you folks post pictures - makes all the difference - next to being there. Where's Rodbow now adays? How did you crack your ribs? Heard that's really painful too.
Tin Can - Nice fish, yea, but still not a big as the Tin Can II produced. By the way - bought my first set of Frogg Toggs off e-bay, $30 brand new, orange. Good things happen to those that wait. Maybe I'll wear them fishing Halloween and look like a "pumpkin"
dbplug - you need to take a video camera on your trips - you could win the "funniest HOme Videos" contest with some of your adventures
CS - I too have just started to get back out. It doesn't matter to me if I'm the catcher or the netter - long as somethings happening.
