Garmin bluechart g2

So I installed the garmin bluechart g2 this weekend on my echo 73dv and when I was looking at the bluechart it seems as if the depth contours are fixed. For instance I have navionics on my iPhone and as the tide changes the depth contours change on the map. I'm hoping maybe I just havent set something up correct but the depth contours on my garmin maps don't seem to change. At least they didn't change with the tide at lanark this weekend. Does anybody else have this garmin map that may can shed some light on this for me?

I have a much older GPSMAP 172c with the depth contour chip and it does not change with the tide, list the mean depths only, but mine is older so maybe there is a setting for the newer units.

Garmin doesn't have that capability as far as I know.
