St. Marks 3/30 Report

Post by xXLoneBowmanXx »

Left the lighthouse ramp at 7:30 to fish the outgoing time. Ran up into east river and fished for about an hour. Only thing biting was the gnats. Ran out to the oyster bars, fished for another 45 minutes. Landed a 20 inch trout and lost another comparable trout right at the boat. Nothing else biting. Ran out to the flats east of the bird rack. Caught several short trout and a 24" mackerel. Ran back in to the oyster bars to fish the start of the incoming tide. Lost a keeper red at the boat, caught one more keeper trout and about 10 shorts along with several catfish. Pulled up and left at 12:30 with 2 trout and a mackerel in the box, so not a real productive trip. But Water was calm with a light breeze and the sun was shining, so it was a gorgeous day on the water... can't complain about that!
