A unique website dedicated to fishing information from Florida's Northern Big Bend. This includes the area from the Econfina River west to the Apalachicola River
For used, Makos and Aquasports are still pretty good. The older Aquasports, like my '86, were made before the quality dropped. I would look for a sound, older hull with a new motor, if you are looking used.
I have a 17 foot Key West with 90 Honda. Has been very good for me. My friend and fishing buddy has a Scandy- White 17 foot with tunnel hull and for the rocky areas it's perfect.

Ken K. sorry to take so long but I had password problems. The Scandy-White boats are built in Blountstown, Fla. and have been around a long time. It is an all welded aluminum boat they configure in several sizes and models. My friend had his built to his specs and they did a great job as far as I am concerned. Like any aluminum it's bumpy in a chop but it is not noisy.
I use a 17' Boston Whaler Striper with a 70 HP Evinrude/4 stroke. Goes anywhere. Also use a Dura Craft 17' bayboat with a 40 hp Evinrude/stick steering. Good in skinny water.
