Boat rentals

Post by jbearden »

Got a friend coming down at the end of July looking to rent a boat. I've rented from journeys at st George before. Any recommendations?

Carrbelle, SGI or Apalachicola. Not sure on the size. Probably be fishing the flats and bay area.

Shield's Marine will rent you a pontoon boat. You need to make a reservation - they are popular, especially during scallop season.

Wefings Marine in Eastpoint rents some boats. Not sure what they have in the fishing category. There are at least a couple shops on SGI that rent kayaks. Plenty of good places to fish on the backside of the island.
