Was wondering if anyone in the area was running the Florida Marine Tracks mapping chip in their chartplotter? http://www.floridamarinetracks.com/
Thinking of upgrading from a Garmin 740s to a Simrad GO9 just so I can run this chip. Was hoping to get some feedback on how helpful the satellite images and preloaded tracks are for our neck of the woods. Seen some great reviews from the keys and other parts of Florida. My Garmin has been great but leaves a lot to be desired on the chart. Pretty much any time I fish near the hill, in creeks, etc... it shows my position on dry land.

I've been wondering the same thing. Not much info on coverage in our area. By the way you will love the simrad.

I looked into it but like mentioned not much info in this are at all. I watched the video's about them and even the creator said that there was not much info in the bing bend. They were mainly intended for south Fl. and are great for that area. Too pricey for little to no good tracks. But with the Simrad you can add the Navionics Platinum+ card that does give a lot more detail than most maps, even a Google Earth view. I have it on my Lowrance HDS and love it.
