Changed the oil and filter on my 50hp Honda 4 stroke. When I unscrewed the filter I noticed that no oil ran out of it once it was loose. Since the engine has not been run for over a month I figured the oil had drained out and down.
I puta new filter on and filled engine w new oil, ran it for 20 minutes. Got curious & pulled the new filter off this morn, same thing-- no oil in filter.
Wondering if I have an issue? I suspect the "anti drainage valve" they put on filters is a sham but I know in the past oil has been all over as I loosen the filter.
Any comments?
