I was there about 30 minutes before sun up and there were 5 or 6 trucks there before me but I was the first to launch Saturday morning, I guess everyone else didn’t want to throw the boat off in the dark. Lots of boats on the water but did realize how many until I saw the landing about 4pm. That place is crazy on the weekends and I try to avoid it unless I get a specific request to go there.
Sounds like we'll have an exciting April tournament, then!
Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn. ~Chuck Clark
If you want to beat the traffic and don't mind breaking a sweat, I can show you some canoe/kayak launch accesses to side creeks pretty close to the Econfina boat ramp. Lots of paddling, but it keeps you away from the crowds. And those side creeks hold some overslot trout.
I fished out of the St. Marks Lighthouse on Saturday and was pleasantly surprised at how few vehicles were in the parking lot - guess I know where they all went!
