Sunday! Relax Catch Fish!

Post by Knot Yet »

Left Shields at about 10:30, just beautiful out. Went solo, called a few friends,( no takers) oh well! Did not stop for live bait, headed out at forty miles an hour, had to slow down about 10 miles SE of birdcage started to get a little choppy, went another 6 miles to 33 feet deep, first spot dropped frozen ly, pulled in 23 inch gag grouper!!!!! Yess ssss going to be a good day, next several minutes lost bait after bait, switched smaller hook, grunts all over the place could not get anything else. Moved to next spot, calmed down again . Finally started catching grouper again!!!!!!!! several shorts before boating a keeper red, then a keeper gag 28inch. Caught 3 more legal red grouper in a row, of course throw back! Let out more anchor, turn motor direction , Repeat procedure Last keeper gag3:00 I am headed in!!!!!!!!!! Absoustly beautiful day on the water completly enjoyed it! Listened to one MAYDAY MAYDAY going down going down!!!! Bayliner 25 took on water rescued by SEAHORSE good samaritan happy ending for three people, boat (UKNOWN) not salvagable according to owner ,(why was it out there?)

Great job KY!

Nice catch and some lucky folks to have someone that close  Glad you didn't have to go hunting for them.
"Good Judgement" comes from experience, ... and a lot of that..... results from "Bad Judgement".
