Seen some absolute bruisers not far offshore here.
Bigger and meaner looking than cudas I've seen in the keys.

Judging by the temp change this morning, we are experiencing our 4th climate change of the year this morning.
I suspect it has to do more with rising salinity due to lack of rain, but I only stayed in a Holiday Inn Express earlier this year.

Its a wonderful day in the neighborhood!

Uh huh. That's probably why the numbers of snook, a cold-sensitive and brackish-tolerant species, are growing around here.

As a SMNWR paddler since the late 1980s, who also drags my kayaks & canoes through low water, I literally feel the bay and creek water temps on almost every outing. I cannot remember the water temp in general ever being as warm in fall/winter as it has the last three years (when I started encountering snook for the first time up here).
