St. Marks Refuge - Staying Open?

Even if the SMNWR ramp is closed, the refuge levees are starting points for great wadefishing. If you can work around the gators and snakes (mostly nonpoisonous) and stingrays and feral hogs, the reds and overslot seatrout are there aplenty.
Take a walk on the wild side.

I gotta teach weekdays. We are video conferencing our classes at Maclay. Until I put the finishing touches on my life-size cardboard Mr. Droze replica, I'm stuck behind a laptop camera. Or...
I wonder if I can just bring my laptop down to the Refuge with me?

Saturday is Honeydew day. Amazing how many household projects my beautiful bride can come up with after a few weeks of being stuck home.

From 5' on the flats to all the way to creek mouths. A lot of quality trout, a bit spread out so a long sweeping drift is best. A few reds stopped by to play as well. Saw a few Spaniards but avoided hookups.

I saw 2 Jeeps full of people somewhere where I have never seen anybody ever...ever. People out of our mold haven’t quit doing what we do obviously. The truth is we’re probably doing the safest thing besides quarantining. It’s not like people get close together fishing and I don’t know many sick people who go fishing lol!

I didn't make it out this past weekend, but Saturday looks like very good weather right after the front comes through. May work on my social distancing some...
