Most any local tackle store will.
Re: Rod Repair
I believe FlatsBroke builds custom fishing rods. Not sure if he does any repair work.

Re: Rod Repair
Masters of Rod and Gun off Capital Circle SW used to have a very capable rod maker/repair guy. Not sure if he's still there or not.

Re: Rod Repair
Second Jims outfit. But never had a rod repaired only reels.
A friend had an eye replaced at Kevin’s and it was terrible. Rough edges everywhere. Looked like a 5 year old did it. I would not recommend going there for any rod or reel repair

Was it perfect, No but it wasn't that bad either. It works just fine and the turn around was maybe a week.Salty Gator wrote:Second Jims outfit. But never had a rod repaired only reels.

Re: Rod Repair
Dude, come on. It is the worst repair job I’ve ever seen a “professional” do. Its awful. Dom did one for me that you couldn’t tell wasn’t original. A blind man could tell yours wasn’t original with those sharp edges.tailwaters wrote:Was it perfect, No but it wasn't that bad either. Re: Rod Repair
Good to know the new location of Masters of Gun and Rod. Another vote for Reel Repairs by Jim.

Jim just repaired a guide on a bottom fishing rod of mine, and did a great job. $25.00.
A nice guy too. I enjoyed talking reels and rods with him.

Re: Rod Repair
I keep thinking I can put those ceramic rings back in instead of replacing the whole guide, but haven't had any success, even with my high-tech solutions [WINKING FACE]like JB Weld.

Re: Rod Repair
I've had the same issues.
Have used plastic jaw pliers to pop them back in, then super- glue... They come back out though.
