It would but you'd need 3 - 12 volt batteries and that's a lot of weight for a 17 footer and 112 lbs of thrust is overkill for a boat that size.

112 lbs of thrust is overkill for a boat that size.

I figured that out by finding that my 17' boat is recommended to have a 55lb thrust trolling motor

Looks like a new Riptide with I-pilot, 55-80 lb thrust, 54-60 " is a bout 2,000 plus batteries and installation? Should be right fit for 17.2 KW?
