Decisions.....

Post by GC »

Was planning on fishing three days over the Thanksgiving Holliday....but looking at the forecast right now, 5 to 7 footers on Thursday, 4 to 6 subsiding to 3 to 5 on Friday and 2 to 3 footers on Saturday....I'm having second thoughts! :smt021

What yall think? :smt102

You're right wevans....I think I'll wait and see what the forecast says tomorrow before I make the call.
Stockwell its 6 1/2 hours each way from Winder. I'm dying to go fishing, but I hate to make the round trip just to do some wade fishing! :-D

There is a cold front headed our way.. .. That's why I went ahead and took my trips early. Sure I wish I had gone farther out...

Well, I hope to be permanent party in Carrabelle for a while come Sat, except have to come back to Ga for Christmas (Grand kids). Hope to get on the water Monday or so.
Actually, GC the forcasters are doing an educated guess in most cases beyond the next 48 hours. Most of the time they come close to the conditions, but the timing is off a few hours(give or take 10). I just stated my take on their analysis in the 'Good Tuesday Morning' thread. Thursday is for sure, questionable, Friday afternoon might work, Saturday and Sunday a definite maybe.
Like you say, decisions, decisions.

CG, you just shed a whole new light on deciding to fish. I don't hesitate to go see what it's like. I've laways said Ya don't know if ya don't go. However, it's a 30 minute drive for me. I don't know what I'd do if I had to drive that far.
What was I supposed to do today?

Especially with the cost of fuel. 84 gallons in the boat and 100 gallons for the truck! :o
But we don't do it often!
I think we're gonna head down Thursday after lunch! Fish Friday and Saturday! :D

One word for this afternoon" ROUGH" :o I feel sorry for anyone that ventured offshore today! A very heavy chop and a wind that had me sailing more than drifting  I did manage two keepers and a half dozen shorts in the two hours that I braved this afternoon out of Bottoms  Water temp is at 66, but expect that ta fall overnight 8)
